You touch me

And I hold my breath

Not wanting to make a sound.

Your eyes hold me.

They keep me up.

I find I’m floating

Above the ground.

Your soul whispers

“Come out and Play.”

In response

I cannot stay.

I am found.

Your heart plays a melody.

I find myself dancing

To a song that has been silent

An eternity

It seems.

Your lips speak my name.

In response

I will never be the same.

I am whole.

There I will be with you.

I’m going to open my arms

And there I will hold you.

There I will touch you.

I’m going to open my heart

And there I will greet you.

I’m going to lay down my soul

And there I will feel you.
