Unknown To You

Standard

Unknown to you,
The depths you have stirred.
The fire you have ignited in my bones.
Unknown to you,
The longing that was my company.
The emptiness I called home.
Unknown to you,
Without touch
You have aroused
A sleeping soul.

  1. I love this poem. It reminds me of Robert Pinsky. Just fantastic work. This part is beyond astounding: “Unknown to you, / Without touch / You have aroused / A sleeping soul.”
