Sunrise held on to
Her gold
And silver hues
Mighty well this morning,
Until
Bursting forth with the power of
her glorious light,
All else relented and bowed
Upon her return.
Warmth and brilliance now
Bathe my body and dance with my soul.
Sunrise held on to
Her gold
And silver hues
Mighty well this morning,
Until
Bursting forth with the power of
her glorious light,
All else relented and bowed
Upon her return.
Warmth and brilliance now
Bathe my body and dance with my soul.
The fig tree in the backyard
is done giving fruit
for this season.
replenishing herself,
now she dreams.
i
reach
for my
sweater
in need of a little extra warmth.
no matter the temperature
i wish my feet to remain
bare upon the earth
so that i may stay connected
with changes unfolding.
I know you from a dream.
I have touched your face.
Our hearts,
They have met
And they did not forget
The light
And warmth.
The embrace.
The sun has come
And once again
I greet the warmth
With a grateful heart.
Though the rains may cleanse
And the winds create change,
The sun always
Brings
Hope.
