How to Say

Standard

And it grips the poets heart

At any moment.

And they are left breathless,

Adrenaline coursing through

The body.

What words?

How to say?

How to draft with the heart

A picture?

And they might be left stumbling,
For more words

To find

No words.

And pretend like nothing

Left them stunned as time stopped,

The

Out of body experience.

Just

Like that.

At any given instant

The ecstasy in every cell

Becoming poetry.

Time Slumbers

Standard

Clouds of black

As day turns to night.

I try to speak with all my might,

Soundless.

On hands and knees I crawl.

The wind pushes me to where i do not wish to go,

Where i do not recall my name.

My skin feels not my own.

I lie motionless,

Overcome with shadows.

Still i breath.

I sleep until I forget

And dream

In a place

Where time slumbers

And forgets as well.

Time

Standard

Like a phantom
Time has

Stolen itself away

I always thought i would  return home
Whenever i like
Only now

mom and dad
Are both long gone

Still i step upon familiar streets
Still i walk barefoot
The grass reminds me

unspoken hurts

unspoken love

Laughter echoes in my heart
Cigarette smoke
Clouds my eyes

I see them there
Amongst the fall leaves.
Fallen dreams
So quickly tossed about
By
Children playing tag
With no
Attention
Paid to time.
And i smile.
