Those Who See

Standard

For those who

See the fear that paralyzes those

Traumatized

Mentally, physically and emotionally;

The ones who hear them;

Those that have no words left to express the fear, the doubt, the shame, the hopelessness;

You who take time to

Offer love, patience and stillness,

There is so much gratitude intangible;

You are not forgotten.

Because of your tender acts of kindness

Many have chosen to see another day.

Love.

Never

Standard

And I never want to

Hurt like that again

So

I have been fearful,

So very afraid.

One step

And I hesitate, my feet placed lightly

As I hold my breath before

Pressing forward completely;

And wait.

Eyes wide open,

Telling my tears to stay tucked away,

To wait.

Wait a little longer.

It is not in my head nor irrational

For those things did happen leaving bruises on heart on skin,

Not happening merely once or twice.

Over and over.

In psyche I go deep.

Begin once again.

One step forward and breath.

Wait and observe, Listen and feel.

Muscles coiled around heart ready to retreat.

Consciously release tension;

Release grip on self.

Exhaustion sets in every muscle.

Stopping. Resting.

Replenish heart and mind

And begin again

With tomorrow’s sunrise.

Beauty and joy seep into depths slowly and lovingly

Replacing anxiety.

Sweet dreams start to outnumber nightmares.

Ever so tenderly reanimating hope.

Revive.

Spring Once More

Standard

Spring is springing once more.

Tender buds beginning to peak,

Unfold.

New life

Bursting through damp soil;

 Up beyond last falls sacrificial

Leaves released by trees.

Spring.

Awakened by the

Love of the sun.

Shoots of green growing new among trees

Joyously joining

Wise old branches of time.

And again and again it ends and begins

As we come and go.

A natural knowing among earth and sky,

Moon and sun.

Each taking their turn.

Their ways unspoken

In the

Natural knowing.
