Agony

Standard

Terrified to be overwhelmed

Some days there is nothing left
The fight of the agony
Has left me
Exhausted
Again i float
As numbness claims
Me
Extremities lifeless
To separate
Feelings
From matter
My mind shouts
Get up
Get up
You are alive and well
My mind shouts
You are nothing
You are no one
You are a minute speck
Heart-
Heavy and heated as if standing on the sun
The brightness blinding me to life
Eventually i embrace it and love i become
I always come through
I always come through

The Dock

Standard

The boat is easing up to the dock.

My friend you have returned

And tears fill my eyes.

Alas the reflection of the summer sun

Upon the water stings my eyes

As I frantically search for you.

My heartstrings play your name as my feet

Carry me to you.

Arms and legs no longer heavy.

Heartbeats fall into sync.

Our smiles speak of perfect happiness.

Bliss unspoken.

And there upon the dock we are home.

Spring Once More

Standard

Spring is springing once more.

Tender buds beginning to peak,

Unfold.

New life

Bursting through damp soil;

 Up beyond last falls sacrificial

Leaves released by trees.

Spring.

Awakened by the

Love of the sun.

Shoots of green growing new among trees

Joyously joining

Wise old branches of time.

And again and again it ends and begins

As we come and go.

A natural knowing among earth and sky,

Moon and sun.

Each taking their turn.

Their ways unspoken

In the

Natural knowing.
