Longest Ache

Standard

The longest ache.

Tears form in the corner of my eyes when

I remember the magic i felt,

The beauty I witnessed.

And I remember wiping

The red dust from my cheeks

So long ago.

The joy and the wonder a new sight can

bring,

The souls one meets that love a song.

To think

Once

I did not believe.

It was another life now

And then another

And here I am still in wonder.

The longest ache sears through my veins.

The yearning remains.

The ancient beats within my heart reverberate

Through time unseen in synchronization with those who came before

And those yet to come.

Open

Standard

I try to keep my eyes open

For every time

I close them

That

Cellular level ache begins.

The longing.

I know you are near me.

And you are so distracting.

Pulling. Twirling my heart

In an endless dance;

A rhythm of breaths and dreams.

1,2,3 steady.

1,2,3,4 up I go and where I land, if ever,

Is unbeknownst in this plane.

A realm we agreed upon in time and space prior;

Between souls.

Destiny.

Timeless Within

Standard

You

Mystical being

Invoking feelings

Visions

Of other dimensions

My body recalling touch

Another time and space

A portal opening in the soul

Where minds collide and erupt

Bringing forth unison

In the flow between yes and no

Push and pull

Leaving us full

Expressions deep we turn and keep

The union beyond explanation

Resisting the forces of separation

Again and again

We remain

Timeless within

Snowflake

Standard

On crisp snow I walk

And stop

To listen

To the snowflakes fall.

Silence.

I love to catch them on my tongue.

So light.

So delicate.

So beautiful.

I want to see each one,

Gaze into all of its

Intricacies.

My heart

In awe of every great design.

They remind me of us,

Our souls.

Each made of the same stuff and so

Utterly precious.

And we always fall into one another.

We should embrace the fall.
