Awakening

Standard

One day

I realized

If I slept too long

I would miss the moments

When the world was quiet.

I would miss

Beauty awakening

And

The first gentle caress of

Light in my world.

I would miss

The silent whisper of the day saying

“Here I am in all my glory just for you. Use me up until there is nothing left.”

Marvel

Standard

Please look to the sky today.

Marvel.

Marvel at something.

A tree.

A blade of grass.

A bird.

A raindrop.

Marvel at the intricate details

All around you.

Breathe in life.

Let it fill you up.

Feel the energy beating

Just beneath the surface

With every step you take.

You are connected to everything

And everyone.

Give yourself permission

To feel.

Feel the sorrow.

Most of all,

Feel the love.

Feel the joy.

It becomes you.

Home

Standard

I’m throwing myself off this ledge

I’m going to do my best to fly

And if I crash

It’s nothing worse than I’ve already felt inside.

I’m going to get back up and climb to the top

Cuts and bruises on my hands

I’ll stand proud and strong and close my eyes

Not knowing where I’ll land.

Because I’ve let go of all my fear

I’ve found a strength I’ve never known

I thought I was going crazy

But I’m only heading home.
