My Shadows

Standard

I will throw the shadows of me onto you.
The darkest parts.
If you are
Brave enough to
Come close.
In the haunted passages of
My heart you will find
Rusty rails and broken stairs.
With every step
You must take care.
You will have to
Feel
Your way tenderly with eyes
Blind.
Other senses necessary
To find the cracks and hidden
Retreats inside.
And
Sometimes
The silence is deafening.
Once caught in the black
You may choose to never
Come back.
Or you may endlessly roam,
Making these infinite
Mysteries of me
Your
Home.

Breathe

Standard

You make me feel beautiful

You make me feel like I am real
Your eyes look into me
They don’t look right through me
Others see me breathing
When you know I am only holding my breath
Waiting, waiting, waiting to breathe
Your hands reach out and gently touch me
While others go by without even
Noticing
Noticing I am
Waiting, waiting, waiting to breathe

Disco Ball

Standard

When I enter

the club

I leave my worries
At the
Door
I’m here to dance
Nothing more.
I’m here to move
My hips
And my feet
To the beat.
No thinking
No words spoken
With these lips
Of mine
Just my body rocking
In time to the rhythm
No wasted breath
Explaining.
Non verbal
communication
Appreciated.
That’s all
In the light
Of the
Disco ball.
