A New Sunrise

Standard

I will stand steady on the shore
As the storm rages in your soul.
I will stand steady with a light
Burning fierce
Burning bright
Until you crawl upon the sand
Spent and relenting
Exhausted from the fight.
And when that time comes
I will lie with you
In the

Aftermath.

Together
We will set our eyes
To the East.
And with open souls,

With open

Eyes,

Greet
The birth of
A
New
Sunrise.

Unspoken

Standard

They are hanging in the air that

Surrounds us.

Swirling and twirling
Tangled and mangled.
Falling into each other.
Bouncing off the walls.

Crashing through
The windows
The floors
Clamoring in our brains
In our hearts

Where they internally combust.
We leave a trail of heartprints
In the ash of their remains.

In the dust.
In their broken madness.

Those
Words
Left
Unspoken.

Yet Unsung

Standard

I am a song
Yet I am unsung.
Every day
Feels like life has just begun.
Some days I hang my head and cry.
Some days
I feel like I could fly.

I am a step
Yet to become a journey.
Feels like it all goes blurry when I

Blink.

Some days I wander ahead.
Some days I stand still,
Immobile in my own dimension
Instead.

I am a ship
Yet to find home.
Feels like I’m always wondering which way to

Go.

Some days I am tossed and lost
At sea.
Some days
I sail on water of glass
And lose sight of myself
I am moving so fast.
