Expectations

Standard

So who sold you that neat little

Blueprint

For the perfectly shaped box of

Expectations

You built?
You thought you followed the Directions and built it right
Now you cannot figure why
You are living such an empty
Life.
Is it going well dragging it around like A ball and chain?

Did you think you would play it like a simple Game?
Do all of the disappointments
Have you crawling around
On the ground?
I know you tried to fix it up
In pretty ribbons
And bows.
I hope you have

Finally figured it out.
I hope you know.
You need to smash it baby.
Drop it on the floor
And kick it out the door.
Life’s a roller coaster
You have to let go.
Break your

Expectations

Limitations.
Take a running leap
And
Soar.

My Shadows

Standard

I will throw the shadows of me onto you.
The darkest parts.
If you are
Brave enough to
Come close.
In the haunted passages of
My heart you will find
Rusty rails and broken stairs.
With every step
You must take care.
You will have to
Feel
Your way tenderly with eyes
Blind.
Other senses necessary
To find the cracks and hidden
Retreats inside.
And
Sometimes
The silence is deafening.
Once caught in the black
You may choose to never
Come back.
Or you may endlessly roam,
Making these infinite
Mysteries of me
Your
Home.
