Accountability

Standard

One of

Our greatest fears is admitting accountability;

For then we must see our words and actions

Do make a difference in this world.

Each of us contribute to both the pain and joy.

Until we face ourselves and change our awareness of our own selves,

Reactions of heart and mind,

We allow ourselves to be merely pawns.

Here

Standard

Shadows on the walls

Sun up high,

But I cannot move.

God,

I know you have to go but I don’t want you too.

I feel I should have done more,

Said more.

There is never enough time when the end is coming.

Feeling selfish cause it is not all about me,

But

Yes it is because i love you so.

And you say the light is blinding

And you will always be here

But

I don’t care,

I just don’t care.

I want you here where I can see you.

I want you here where I can hold you.

I just want you here.

I know you are in pain

And i know you are strong.

As soon as we are born

We know we are going to move on

Doesn’t make it any easier.

Fearless

Standard

Be mindful

Those generational ghosts you bring forward;

Those in your own heart and mind which no Longer

Exist.

We are teaching children to fear them.

We are born fearless.

We are born fresh and

We are born free of past regrets.

Do not dump your unhealed bits on them, the Children.

Lessons abound from the past. Still, let us refrain from planting our pain in the child’s heart.

Bring Them Home

Standard

We rise to the highest point

We see.

We bring with us

A flame,

One that has withstood much pain.

And with the flame comes much desire

To burn,

To burn.

To burn

Much higher.

To be seen by all

Who are fighting far from shore.

Far from home.

Their sight dim.

So burn brighter than before.

Burn brighter for the whole.

To bring,

To bring,

To bring

Them home.

Measuring

Standard

Do not take lightly the pain
Of another because they do not hurt like you,

(measuring with your eyes

that which cannot be poured into a cup)
Honor another’s soul (and your own)
And know that pain is pain;

yet again relative only to each persons heart and soul

experience.
We need to sit and listen more
Be gentle
Be love
Laugh
And validate
Look each other in the eyes
And say  (to yourself as well)
“I know you exist.
I see you,
I feel you.
You are worthy
And you are enough.”
