She entered the dark night of her soul willingly.
Alone.
Now her spark and
unwavering light
she has become,
Emerging unshakable.
She became the stillness.
They can say whatever they wish as
It is all in their minds.
And these words of breath,
They disappear uppon utterance
Only held in the space of the mind if one so wishes.

And find peace in
The being

Self;
Holy.
The bathtub faucet has been dripping for weeks,
I find peace in the sound that once grated me.
My cat has cried every night since his brother died;
He has now torn the curtains off the back door window
In his pursuit to turn the handle and escape outside.
It is his true nature of course.
My heart aches as well.
I can think of no other;
And even the little hairs on my body rejoice at the thought of you,
Reaching for you
As you come near.
The heat at my center spreads
And the words fail to fall from my lips;
They cannot make the connection from my mind to my heart
Crashing into one another
In the rush to embrace all of you.
All the particles of us disperse
As night and day disappear
Bursting forth at our touch.
Creation.
This glimmer,
A new universe
Beginning.
New elements we become.
Unprecedented.
Black off the shoulder dress,
Patterned with little pink flowers.
My skin
Tan and sand brushed.
Last time I wore it was in Egypt.
A beautiful night, it was.
Clear and star filled.
I feel everything all at once when I look at.
Barefeet continued
Dancing long after they hurt.
Laughed and smiled so much;
People thought I was drunk.
It has a hole in it I never fixed,
I kept it anyway.
So there it hangs with a variety of other
Colorful memories.
Time to sew it up or let it go.
Now I sit in the rocker by the window.
The motion,
The melodious creak bringing me
Comfort.
And I stare at the trees and the clouds
Swaying in the rhythm of the wind.
An occasional
Blue jay or dove stops within my view
In search of nourishment.
And I let my mind wander where it will
As light slowly
Slinks away to make room
For
Night.
I wait until I am alone,
And only then
Will I whisper your name.
As the sun sets
And the world begins to
Settle in dark of night.
For I wish not
Another soul
Bare witness
To
My tears.
Shedding tears.
The darkest of dark in my chest
This night.
Moonlight casts no shadow
From wall to wall.
I will not give up.
I will not give in.
Sweet slumber comes to cradle me.
She takes me to fields of lavender where
I dance until I am weary.
Elation fills my veins.
She flies me to the very mountain tops
Amongst the clouds where I fill my lungs once more;
Fill my eyes with curiousity .
I play in the deepest seas of blue.
I sink,
I float.
It does not matter here for my struggles are lost elsewhere in these dreams tonight.
She gives me what I need;
Sweet dreams.
And in the morning I lift my gaze to the sun.
I thank my dreams for keeping me company
And leave them under my pillow for the
Day awaits me now.
The stars are so close
In this night sky
I may touch them,
Hold them if
I try.
Instead I will close my eyes
Let them remain where they shine
For I know they are not
