We live in a world where
One might believe
Natures brilliance
Needs a filter to add to its already
Breathtaking
Beauty.
No wonder there are so many unhappy
Souls.

Souls.
Oh yes
The birds are returning.
No song left unsung;
In
The volume of their song
No hesitation.
Bright breasts puffed.
Not a post, wire or branch
Off limits to poise upon and strike chord.
Calling to those who will listen as sun touches
The land.
Replies fill the air with hope,
Nature does hearken unwavering.
There are times
Sacred steps in nature
Have saved me from the world;
An untimely departure.
An otherworldly enchantment
Envelops me.
A red cardinal over there,
A mesquite tree over here.
Mother Nature shows me many creations.
The smell of wet saltgrass and dirt
Fill my senses.
This oak tree I am under,
Her leaves shine as if coated in silver
As raindrops sparkle setting delight afire
Within my heart.
Nature presents herself
As is,
The individual decides whether she is beautiful or not.
Years ago,
As I sat with friends
Along the banks of a magnificent river
In the untamed wilderness;
(All was silent except for the sound
Of the river)
My eyes grazed the
Opposite bank and
I was awestruck
To see a large black wolf
Come off a game trail.
He
Stepped out of the woods.
There stopping and locking
Inquisitive eyes
With us.
He was magnificent;
Splendid in his stance.
I could not move,
Could not breathe.
In that moment I felt something so primal
And beautiful inside;
As if connected beyond comprehension of the mind.
This has stayed with me always.
I know in nature
Honest
Unexpected

Spring is springing once more.
Tender buds beginning to peak,
Unfold.
New life
Bursting through damp soil;
Up beyond last falls sacrificial
Leaves released by trees.
Spring.
Awakened by the
Love of the sun.
Shoots of green growing new among trees
Joyously joining
Wise old branches of time.
And again and again it ends and begins
As we come and go.
A natural knowing among earth and sky,
Moon and sun.
Each taking their turn.
Their ways unspoken
In the
Natural knowing.
