Let Go

Standard

One must release these ideas, these boundaries;

Just as one cannot measure love

One cannot measure the suffering of

Another soul.

And therein lies the division.

We think we can measure these words with Our eyes and minds,

Separating this soul from that

Further and further until we can no longer hear nor sense these intangible energies through the barriers.

Love and suffering. Beautifully human we are.

Listen. Listen deeper. Breathe and settle into depths unexplained.

Let go these hierarchical measurements and see the soul.

Measure

Standard

Do not take lightly the pain
Of another because they do not hurt like you,

(measuring with your eyes

that which cannot be poured into a cup)
Honor another’s soul (and your own)
And know that pain is pain;

Yet again relative only to each persons heart And soul experience.
We need to sit and listen more
Be gentle
Be love
Laugh
And validate
Look each other in the eyes
And say  (to yourself as well)
“I know you exist.
I see you,
I feel you.
You are worthy
And you are enough.”

I Say to Myself

Standard

You do not have to work so hard for love.

To beg, to plead.

(I say to myself)

To apologize for things you have not done just to

Keep the peace.

To prove your worthiness.

(Once upon a time I too did these things)

It took a long hard fall for me to learn

(I learn more everyday)

I cannot measure how much I love myself by

How much anyone else loves me.

(I remind myself)

I am worthy of my own unconditional love.
