Star Song

Standard

Songs of the stars resonate in our soul;

Reverberating melodies of love.

Hear the songs.

Their message traveling so long,

So far for us.

The very first note never-ending, shared here among us if we

Choose to brave the stillness and listen;

See.

And here is the harmony in healing;

It was never lost nor silenced.

Vanished

Standard

Mountains high.

Falling snow

Sparkles as if diamonds

In the full moon glow.

Where she’s headed no one knows

For the wind blows away any trace

Of foot steps taken upon the ground.

They speculate and create tales of wonder

Of a woman lost

For she does not wander the

Beaten path

Nor the familiar.

Most whisper in the dark that she is a misplaced soul;

But then they dare not go where she goes;

Infinite unknown.

Vanished, yet in plain sight.

Blew Out

Standard

I have lost count the times I blew out my own candle,

to hide in the dark, to keep myself unseen.

But I did not know there were such lovely souls,

the seekers,

who found people like me

And let us be without criticizing.

Kindly,

Lovingly,

Softly they lit the way out,

Not a light to blinding nor a noise to frightening,

Allowing us time and space to

Re-emerge at our own pace,

In our own time.

I am ever grateful.

Unexpected

Standard

The trees before me

Wave an acknowledging hello

As the wind escorts the clouds

All blue and gray

Over the mountain peak.

And unexpected joy

Seeps into my skin as

A deer wanders near my seat and stops to stare.

An ant wanders onto my foot.

I know he is lost

For I have nothing to

Offer him.

Back to the dirt he returns.

I Am

Standard

I get up early

And walk to the field  just as light peaks over

The ridge.

The birds sing me welcome.

I hear rustling in the grass

And am met with the pleasant stare

Of a doe.

I look around and see another doe.

One has two fawn and the other three.

I sit and feel my heart

Swell.

Here is where I am always welcomed.

Here is where I am

Reminded

I am not broken nor am I lost.

I am.
