The Turkey Vultures
Circle gracefully overhead
In the clear blue sky.
Surely it is not me they are eyeing,
For I am more alive than ever.
Perhaps it is the plethora of
Old ideas and beliefs of me left shed among
The dead leaves which
Whets their appetite?
To which I say,
“Feast! Enjoy every morsel for there is
More to come.”
Allow people to have their views and ideas just as you have yours
Realizing it is not even a disagreement;
It is simply perceived ideas entwined
Entirely
With personal experiences creating the individuals story,
Your story.
There is no right or wrong;
Be.
In the journey of freeing the mind
One must not only question frequently
Actions and beliefs one disagrees with
But
Most
Often
These ideas one does
Agree with.
Deeper and deeper we must go into self
To see truth beyond the truths imprinted within without question.
