I look back.
So many holes in my memory.
So many people i have been
Yet which am i?
All of these;
The memory,
The reality,
The dream.
Here and now,
Then and there.
The yet to come.
I look back.
So many holes in my memory.
So many people i have been
Yet which am i?
All of these;
The memory,
The reality,
The dream.
Here and now,
Then and there.
The yet to come.
You think you have fallen into
The hole and deep you go;
Ah but you are
Merely taking a different path as you
Find yourself becoming the universe.
On through the other side,
Back to the stars where you belong all
Along.
Returning and re-emerging.
A newborn star.
Life and light pulses from within
You.
So beautiful, so honest.
We climbed up
Out of the hole breathless and began
Rolling around on the
Ground giggling uncontrollably.
We dusted off our clothes and picked twigs out of each others hair.
Then
He took my hands, kissed my lips and started humming that song about being lost.
Holding on tighter
We
Glanced at one another once more
And
Dove right back in
To explore more uncharted territory.
Standing in the house.
Trying to hold the walls up while the shadows die.
Windows cracking,
Shattering to pieces
As the
Elephant
Is let loose
Wrecking havoc.
Some are still sleeping,
Or pretending too
In scattered spaces.
They sleep half awake
Hoping and praying that in the morning
The sun will be showing
And all will be put back in its place.
Instead they will find a
Big gaping hole filled with
Broken memories and tear stained letters,
Fragments of half truths
And lies.
Just another
Elephant in
Disguise.
