Gray Spring

Standard

I step outside this gray spring morning.

How melodious the sound of rain meeting the metal roof;

How delightful to my ears this song of water drops each colliding and melding together,

Flowing to the gutters and spilling onto the soil.

How beautiful the sensation of this dance;

Water kissing my skin.

If I listen close I can hear the earth drinking and absorbing

It all in;

As does my heart and soul,

Quenching this thirst.

Sorrow

Standard

She sees him from behind the looking glass.

Only he knows where she lives in her heart.

Others fumbling

While he arrives;

She welcomes him

In.

He brings with him a sorrow they share

And with that sorrow they build a funeral pyre;

Flames burning through the

Past to the now and they rise

As one in waves of heat and light

In love.

There they remain

To dance.

To sing,

To

Be.

Hear the music.

Resonate

Standard

My heart holds no words for you

for

They are so

Minute,

To small.

A word cannot envelope nor embody

Love

Nor can my heart hold this vastness,

This infinity.

The power in every beat,

Every thump of my heart

Resonates

To the farthest galaxy

In the dark

Dancing and vibrating

Within atoms themselves,

For even they know our names.

Yet it is not of anywhere perceivable.

As our feet step upon this ancient earth

Feel the vibrations. Hear the beat.

And on and on we go.

We know.
