Apparition

Standard

You must have been an

Apparition.

A made up someone in my

Imagination.

For I wandered these stone stairwells

And

I roamed through

Winters withering garden

Following your song.

I knew I should find shelter,

Somewhere to warm my core.

But once outside I could return

Inside no more

For

I was met with barred windows and

Locked doors.

I found you in the courtyard.

I tried to reach you.

Touch you.

You vanished as I approached.

My fingers now cold and frozen,

I,

Left dreaming in the fog with ghosts and snowflakes.

And I remained alone

As I was all

Along.

I must have mistaken the

Wind howling through

Windows and doors,

Through

      Winters garden

                                For your song.

One

Standard

There are people who remind you of the past not to heal

But to keep the hate alive because if they keep Us divided with constant reminders that we Should hate each other, they keep the power.

When we release these old beliefs they lose Power over us,

Over thoughts,

Over preconceived notion’s,

Over ties that bind and where we put our energy.

To keep us on repeat,

To keep us hardened and separate feeds the Drama and feeds the illusion that we cannot move past the past,

But we can.

We can learn to love more.

It is in our mind set and our hearts when we are ready.

For all of this is a choice we make every Morning as we rise to open new doors,

To toil the soil,

To plant, grow and tend to new seeds in this garden.

We can create anew every single moment

With love.

Gate

Standard

She told you she would not cry when you

Walked away.

She lied.

She shut the gate behind herself in the

Garden

So you could not see

Her trembling steps;

Her trembling lips.

Her singing voice hid her sorrow.

You never learned her anyway.

Perhaps she will not open to trust

This lifetime.

Perhaps it is so,

But you will not know for your soul has

Agreed to move on.

We Have Each Other

Standard

I followed him into his garden.

And there we held each other

And listened as our hearts sang in

Sorrow.

The sky darkened

And that is when I heard

Him

Weeping silently.

We wept together

Holding on until our hearts began singing a familiar song.

And as the sky cleared we heard others singing out too,

“We have each other.

We have each other.”

Summer is Done

Standard

I open the window with anticipation.

There I hear the birds last summer song,

For summer is done.

Crisp autumn air wafts into the room

Sweeping away with it

Summer’s dust which has settled in the nooks

And crannies,

Yet

Not on open books.

My mind is filled with wondrous thoughts of

Falling leaves and cooler mornings to come.

I look to my garden for one last flower

To which

I find none.
