The air is chilly now and I am wishing I had
Thrown on a sweatshirt.
I
Lay down in the ground on my belly
And prop my chin up on my hands.
The evening sun is getting lower and I love
To watch as light filters through all of the different petals and leaves.
If I squint my eyes it looks like millions of stars
Are resting amongst the flowers just like me.
These spring flowers will not
Delay their blooming on our
Account;
Just because We are busy.
They wait for no human.
Nor the trees, come fall
To
Drop their leaves.
We are merely
Passerby’s,
Yet
All joining one another as our
Physical shells return to the earth
In the end.
We are the experience.
They chase the moon
Or the sun
Or someone.
She chases blooming flowers.
I ran.
I ran to the field and
Lay amongst the flowers today.
I stayed in their company for hours.
Days go by.
I let the sun burn my heart.
I do not know why but it is true.
My essence did soar.
I dreamt a dream of you and I and it began to rain.
The raindrops did not touch our skin
Us
Submerged in internal flames,
You
Dreaming the same dream beside me.
What is this fire you have brought to me?
You hummed and strummed,
Said nothing but we knew.
We never touched but we knew.
Me wishing to remain in sweet slumber and forever have you there.
Her heart is like an overgrown garden
Full of flowers and weeds,
And she cannot stand to
Take from their natural beauty
So she leaves
Them to grow
How they like
And where they like.
She
Wanders through
Their
Unruliness,
Wildness.
She loves them
(she is learning to love them)
Without
Regrets
I do believe
Even the shadows
Flowers cast
To be beautiful.
Blushing.
Feeding the yearning.
Tears of desire
Sustain soul flowers growing,
Reaching for heaven.
Envelope love, my love.
Our
Hearts ecstasy
Overflowing.
I have planted myself
And keep grasping the earth with
All my strength.
Yet my
Tender flowers do
Whither
From the weight of sorrow.
Hollow sighs escape my lips.
I am
No longer reaching.
How full these petals might bloom at the sight
Of the
Sun;
Or your face.
I have found my garden
Is beginning to grow
Out beyond my fortress walls.
My flowers have begun to blossom
And
Over take
These well built defenses
Row by row.
I hold on to things
Life has left
For
Far too long.
I put them under my pillow
While I dream.
And
Weave them into the wild flowers in my hair.
I seem to carry a
Concealed hope
That they might come back to life
If only I
Love them enough.
