Why does one run from the shadow
For if one follows the shadow,
Passing through,
One finds the light creating the shadow.
The message is in the journey of
Our return to the source of the flame;
Soul.
Love.
As our mere breath can flutter the flame,
So we affect those around us
With our words and actions;
Choose consciously these things.
She beckons
You;
Come hither,
Partake
In this fire
Of life
Within.
Drink well and deep the heat.
Now burst forth through
Those flames ignited and become
The dreams you
Left in slumber,
The dreams hidden from the others out of
Fear.
It is you.
You are the desire.
On occasion
I feel I am but nothing.
The smallest slice of an ember;
Emitting no heat nor flame.
Those days I foster love.
Regenerating what is left of me,
Knowing that the tiniest ember
Still has potential to flame once again
Given oxygen,
I breathe.
Reignite;
I burn.
We rise to the highest point
We see.
We bring with us
A flame,
One that has withstood much pain.
And with the flame comes much desire
To burn,
To burn.
To burn
Much higher.
To be seen by all
Who are fighting far from shore.
Far from home.
Their sight dim.
So burn brighter than before.
Burn brighter for the whole.
To bring,
To bring,
To bring
Them home.
Dear heart
Do not believe
Others can keep you
From shining
For they do not hold your flame.
They hold only their own.
You are the
Master
Of your light,
Of self.
Pardon me while I hold on to
You selfishly from time to time
My child.
For you are part of me.
Infused in my
Bones
And heart,
My being.
Peace settles me completely
When in my arms you sleep.
And supreme joy engulfs me
When your hand in mine
You keep.
Eternally
My heart exceeds mortal capacity
As
I watch you soar.
And always here I am with
A heart of flame if ever you need more
Kindling to begin again
A fire of your own.
Always
Always
A constant abode.
She lives in the flame of the
Candle.
Love and heat
More than you can handle.
She makes you feel alive.
Maybe I want too much.
