Vanished

Standard

Mountains high.

Falling snow

Sparkles as if diamonds

In the full moon glow.

Where she’s headed no one knows

For the wind blows away any trace

Of foot steps taken upon the ground.

They speculate and create tales of wonder

Of a woman lost

For she does not wander the

Beaten path

Nor the familiar.

Most whisper in the dark that she is a misplaced soul;

But then they dare not go where she goes;

Infinite unknown.

Vanished, yet in plain sight.

Logical

Standard

The logical mind brushes it off,

The serendipity,

The coincidence.

The pulling.

Magnetism that keeps drawing us closer.

The dreams unexplained,

That make no sense to the mind

But send the heart higher into

Time undefined.

Remembering.

Remembering.

A familiarity in your smile,

Your eyes.

The sound of your laughter.

My skin ignites at the thought

Of your song in my my head,

In my mouth.
