No Waiting

Standard

Bring awareness to your mind and heart in this;

You were born enough,

You will die enough

And

In the in the inbetween

You are enough.

A life force of beauty

Undefinable;

Radiance divine.

Shine on unbound and unapologetically

Allowing space for all to do the same.

Soar into heights unmeasured and depths

Unexplored.

Live;

Love without waiting for answers;

Untethered.

Future

Standard

We cannot change the past

But we certainly can make sure we send nothing but love

Into the future.

We can refuse to continue throwing

Hate and anger into the future for the children to clean up.

We are here and we are now.

We are not living anyones life but our own.

We are here and now.

What can we do in the here and now to love?

Forgive. Honor. Cherish. Listen.

We can refuse to throw debris and the weight of hate forward into little hearts and hands

To catch.

We lay it down here.

We let it go now

So they may be free;

Have room to

Hold, love, carry and help.

Enough

Is enough.

Accept we are enough and they too are enough.

Love is enough.

Loving hearts, loving minds and loving actions.

Retrace

Standard

When I was ready; when I had had enough,

I began to dig deep and face some memories I had tried not to keep. Some parts of me had been in hiding or dressed in disguise;

Pretending to be invisible.

It took longer than I thought it might.

I had to hold myself accountable for my own part and went back to the start.

I did not realize how far away from myself I was

Until I started retracing the steps back to myself.

Healing.

Measure

Standard

Do not take lightly the pain
Of another because they do not hurt like you,

(measuring with your eyes

that which cannot be poured into a cup)
Honor another’s soul (and your own)
And know that pain is pain;

Yet again relative only to each persons heart And soul experience.
We need to sit and listen more
Be gentle
Be love
Laugh
And validate
Look each other in the eyes
And say  (to yourself as well)
“I know you exist.
I see you,
I feel you.
You are worthy
And you are enough.”

Never

Standard

You can take pen to paper

And write how lovely she is,

How your heart beats steady when you are

With her.

She will think it was for a girl long gone,

The one you could not have.

You could play her songs of love

And hold her close.

She will believe that you dream of someone

Else with more beauty,

More elegance.

You could hold her hand and draw her near,

She will never believe

She is good enough,

Smart enough,

Strong enough,

Pretty enough.

She will always believe you want more of someone else.
