When one continues to delight in the agony and
pain of those one considers either friend or foe
Then one is still
A willing prisoner of the unseen.
When one continues to delight in the agony and
pain of those one considers either friend or foe
Then one is still
A willing prisoner of the unseen.
A red cardinal over there,
A mesquite tree over here.
Mother Nature shows me many creations.
The smell of wet saltgrass and dirt
Fill my senses.
This oak tree I am under,
Her leaves shine as if coated in silver
As raindrops sparkle setting delight afire
Within my heart.
Nature presents herself
As is,
The individual decides whether she is beautiful or not.
Melancholy
Delight
Melancholy
Delight
Up
Down
Up down
Round and round
Spinning, spinning.
Trying to grasp anything
As it passes by.
And the tea kettle whistles
Bringing me back
Here.
And I put my feet upon the floor
Once again
Ready to live more.
More than ever.
Not once have I taken pause
To look back in regret
Those moments I put aside
A task at hand
To savor with complete enjoyment
My children;
To delight in all that they are.
They are the joy of my heart.
I knew him then.
The boy.
The child.
I knew him when the sun played on his shoulders.
When a glance at the clouds above would set him free.
When nothing could stop him from
Dancing
Or
Smiling.
It is as if another lifetime now.
I do not know what happened out there in the world.
I do not know who stole
Delight from his veins.
But I do know
Whoever
Stole it,
They did not take it all.
For
I see it in his shadow.
Delight
In the beauty of a new day.
Set your feet firmly
On
Mother Earth
And be thankful.
Insatiable delight.
Once you take a bite
The taste will leave you
Wanting more.
Lingering on your
Mind.
You’ll close your eyes
And shut the door
To any other existence.
Any other way
To satiate your appetite.
The craving will keep
You up at night
Tossing
Turning
Yearning
For it all.
For one more
Taste.
One more
Luscious
Bite
Of
Delight.
