I implore you
Sit in silence,
In this stillness explore your own roots
With wonder
And compassion as your companion;
Non judgment.
Observe unattached in love of self.
Such beauty has always been you,
See.
I implore you
Sit in silence,
In this stillness explore your own roots
With wonder
And compassion as your companion;
Non judgment.
Observe unattached in love of self.
Such beauty has always been you,
See.
Hate and spite or love and compassion;
One must choose or keep oneself divided in two;
Therefore dividing the world in which one abides
And all else.
Heal oneself or remain content with discontent within
For you are the creator and reactor.
Bring yourself wholly home to love;
Peace.
You will be interrupted
By many with a
Plethora of “but this and that”;
Continue to live, speak
And move
Immersed in compassion; stillness.
Gentleness welcomes.
Allow love to emanate from even the twinkle in your eyes and the smile upon your face.
These gestures one thinks so small save souls.
Hope. Love. Peace.
Do not let compassion and love
Merely be one
Of the many
Words we throw around so
Carelessly;
Action.
Every morning
Someone is falling apart,
Someone is building up.
Someone is on their knees feeling depleted,
Someone is elated.
And this is life.
Our experiences shape our perspective
And awareness
And open us up
To more wisdom and compassion
If we so choose.
Remember those feelings you have on a day you are struggling.
Perhaps standing still.
Perhaps crawling.
And know that others feel that way.
See them when you look around.
You will recognize them.
Instead of building walls
Against them,
Open
Your door
And step outside to meet them.
Step outside and greet them.
Offer compassion.
Offer love.
For we will never get better
If we do not
Lift each other up.
If we all choose to stay behind walls
And defenses
Alone,
We will never
Heal as people.
Alone.
I am slowly
Learning to have compassion for the girl
That believed she had no voice.
The girl that was afraid to shine
Or make a sound.
Who had been beaten down.
Who had almost disappeared from
Existence.
She will always be a part of me.
She was not weak.
After all
She carried me on her own.
On every twist and turn.
Up
Mountains and through valleys
Alone,
She carried me.
She pulled me up off my knees.
She dug me out of the shadows
And pushed me
Into the light.
Lifted my gaze up to life.
Through sun and storms.
Through my entire life.
She carried me.
Now it’s my turn to
Carry her.
To love her and I realize what I thought
Were her weaknesses,
Led to my strengths.
