Fearless

Standard

Be mindful

Those generational ghosts you bring forward;

Those in your own heart and mind which no Longer

Exist.

We are teaching children to fear them.

We are born fearless.

We are born fresh and

We are born free of past regrets.

Do not dump your unhealed bits on them, the Children.

Lessons abound from the past. Still, let us refrain from planting our pain in the child’s heart.

Constant Abode

Standard

Pardon me while I hold on to

You selfishly from time to time

My child.

For you are part of me.

Infused in my

Bones

And heart,

My being.

Peace settles me completely

When in my arms you sleep.

And supreme joy engulfs me

When your hand in mine

You keep.

 Eternally

My heart exceeds mortal capacity

As

I watch you soar.

And always here I am with

A heart of flame if ever you need more

Kindling to begin again

A fire of your own.

Always

Always

A constant abode.

I Knew Him

Standard

I knew him then.

The boy.

The child.

I knew him when the sun played on his shoulders.

When a glance at the clouds above would set him free.

When nothing could stop him from

Dancing

Or

Smiling.

It is as if another lifetime now.

I do not know what happened out there in the world.

I do not know who stole

Delight from his veins.

But I do know

Whoever

Stole it,

They did not take it all.

For

I see it in his shadow.

The Great Wilderness

Standard

I reopened the gate

And went out into

The

Great

Wilderness.

There I returned to the

Life

I new

As a child

And became

The

Peace

I have always carried.

For the birds welcomed me.

The wind embraced me.

The trees received me with a timeless remembering.

The dirt infused my senses with vivification.

The sky opened up in my heart

And the sun became a friend to my soul again.

I recalled this is where I belong.

There,

In

The

Great

Wilderness,

I did live

Once

More.
