We rise to the highest point

We see.

We bring with us

A flame,

One that has withstood much pain.

And with the flame comes much desire

To burn,

To burn.

To burn

Much higher.

To be seen by all

Who are fighting far from shore.

Far from home.

Their sight dim.

So burn brighter than before.

Burn brighter for the whole.

To bring,

Them home.

Breath By Breath

I am
Trying to revive myself.
I often catch myself holding my breath
And just standing still.
Staring into the distance.
My mind
Wandering through
Unbelievable realms.
My soul trying to escape.
I am
Doing my best to pull myself
Away from a past lifetime that
Has left me
So broken,
And somehow
Stronger than I once believed.
Yet step
By
Single step
I am managing.
And bit
By little bit
I am holding my head
Higher.
Breath by
Heavy
Breath
The air is getting lighter.
And
With each
Beautiful
Note
I add to my new song,
My soul is shining brighter.

Upon A Star

And so I took it upon myself

To climb upon a star.

And there the fire in my heart

Began to burn

Like a thousand suns

From the sights I beheld,

Through my eyes from a star.

I was consumed from within

And born again.

I knew form the depths of my soul

That this fire was meant to be shared.

It is too bright to be had

By only

One.
