Reawakening

From a long,

Lightless slumber.

The Universe

Is

Kindling your soul.

Let your spirit rise

Again.

You were awake once.

The memory playing at the edge of your brain.

Once,

When you were a child.

The air of joy filling your lungs.

But,

Somewhere

You started living in the world of dreams

To escape

This reality.

Being tread upon,

You dreamt of flying.

Being bound by invisible chains,

You dreamt of freedom.

Being silenced by manipulative words,

You dreamt of singing.

Now realize you are

The

Dream

And

Reawaken.

And now I lie naked.
Naked in the earth.
Everything I have carried
In me,
Stripped from
My heart
And
Removed from my soul.
Washed clean.

And I feel the wind.
I breathe the air.
I taste the dirt on my lips.
I am settled in my skin.

Renewed.

The time has come to

Arise and set my feet gently on the path before me.

Let this new journey

Begin.

Breathless.
I want you so close (us so close)
So deep within (each other)
We cannot take a breath (I cannot breathe).
So intertwined,
The air cannot move between our bodies (our souls).
I wish for your fingers to be tangled in my hair.
Our lips pleading,
Dripping wet and bruised from love (our love).
I long to make you feel so weak
You cannot stir
(we are unable to move)
Your soul (my soul) will only weep for more.

Only your heart (my heart) will whisper my

I’ve Crawled, I’ve Clawed

I’ve crawled.
I’ve clawed my way out.
Feel like I’m barely coming up for air.

I’ve screamed so loud in silence.
I’ve begged and pleaded.
Still barely breathing.

And it seems I’m just invisible.
A reflection of nothing there,
A ghost as thin as air.

Wondering if I’ve ever really been or am I just a

Dream.

A figment of my imagination
Or somebody else’s creation.

But I can hear myself breathing.

I

Feel the blood beating through my veins.
Is there any life inside of me?
Does any flicker of light remain?
