The wise old owl
Sits upon the branch
And turns his head to look at me
As I approach.
In the moment we lock eyes
I am aware of more than
Can be put into words;
There in my heart and mind.
We are all of time in
Physical form,
Blood and bones.
And the wise owl knows this
As he says everything to me
Though he does not speak.
I must
Choose to live
A fantastic life
Before
The choice

Taken away from me.
You bring oxygen to my
Embers.
Eagerly, effortlessly.
Your lips,
The flames now seeking.
Meeting. Feeling.
Burning all of what was.
We are the core of
The fire itself.
Our walls of consciousness tumbling,
Crumbling.
Creating an intensity inconceivable.
Lifeforce pulsing in every cell.
A harmony unique is felt as heart, mind and soul
Meld;
Resonating through water, earth and air.
In our embrace chaos is quelled.
Our eyes meet
Across time
And visions.
Curiosity.
We move in closer
Drawn to the warmth
Within us two.
Colliding.
We are fire and rain,
Pleasure and pain.
The essence of
Beginning and ending
Wrapped in skin.
Receptors on high
Opening,
Opening and receiving
Energy.
Lightening and electric
Absorbed and shared
Now
Pulsing through our veins.
And all this meets at once,
A precise moment
Rippling through all that ever was.
Awaken.
You

Fighting the river.
Cursing the canyon walls.
Concussed and disoriented.
Hands bloody and scratched trying to
Climb your (our) way out
When all you (we) need to do
Is let this wild river
Carry you (us) through
To the ocean
While you (we)
Enjoy the view.
You can never truly tell
What is in a persons
Heart or mind.
So ask them
Then honor them by listening to
Their reply.
Vulnerability.
The stark beauty in the moment
A soul lets their guard down.
And there
Is the naked heart
In all its
Precious grace.
To be held in honor
By us,
The keepers of love
For each other
As we are meant to be.
The red robin is watching me most intently
From the porch rail
Wondering if he should flee.
Unsure whether
My motions might inflict
Pain his way.
He relaxes as he realizes i am merely
Hanging my favorite dress out to dry
So I can wear it out

Sunrise with a morning song over my shoulder.
