The birds are returning.
No song left unsung;
In
The volume of their song
No hesitation.
Bright breasts puffed.
Not a post, wire or branch
Off limits to poise upon and strike chord.
Calling to those who will listen as sun touches
The land.
Replies fill the air with hope,
Nature does hearken unwavering.
There are those master manipulators
Hellbent on planting seeds of destruction,
They
Will convince you to help water and sow
The garden as well;
Smiling all the while.
There are lists people make,
All of these qualities and qualifications
That define
What makes a “strong” person.
I laugh at those words,
If you wake every morning and live
And that is all you feel you have the strength to do,
You are strong.
Period.
We are each strong in our big, beautiful,
Human way.
Stand strong and bright dear heart
For you are love
And contrary to naysayers and nonbelievers
That is enough;
You are enough.
When one least expects
Along comes the soul,
The one who simply loves you
And your human ways.
Limbo.
You have been afraid to even spill milk
Because the world did almost end once;
Unseen bullet holes.
Unseen scars that seeped into bone.
But that was then
And that was them,
This is now
And they are gone.
It has been painful to dig out

The veins of the abuse
In her body,
Mind and heart
For it is in her skin,
Her bones and breath;
The self loathing and unworthiness.
But
The cracks,
The light is getting out now
Slowly but surely
And
Bit by bit
She is allowing love return
In once more.
Illumination.
He cannot help but find himself be true,
For love did not ask a thing of him
As she rose with the sun.
Do not let your mind fool you
For your soul light
Never diminishes,
Only what you choose to show and feel.

And all of the sudden you came to mind
And my throat swelled
And my heart beat stronger.
I wanted to weep,
As if today was the day
We last spoke.
I sat with you in the forefront of my my mind for a while
And held you there, so grateful for the memories.
In time i tucked you back behind my ribcage
And left you with my soul
Where we reside in between time.
I once again turn up the music and dance.
As we grow,
Our truth is ever morphing
