Butterfly

Standard

Oh butterfly.

You are lost and I am afraid

You cannot remember your way to the warmth of the sun.

How you arrived here is anyone’s guess.

Only you truly know the path you have journeyed.

I’ve tried to save you

But you’re up so high

Here inside

Where you are not meant to be.

Flitting and thrashing against the cold

Windowpane

For you know not the way to where you need to be.

When you settle

I will reach you.

I’ll put you back where you belong

In the open sky.

Please don’t look back.

This you must promise me

…………

You will fly.

Fly,

Fly.

Fly away free.

Always Knows

Standard

I wander freely
Journeying the valley floor.
And when I am worn and weary
I rest my bones
On the rivers edge.
I listen to her song;
Wonder at
Her ever changing beauty

Magnified through icicles and frost.
I see the snowy mountains rising

Strong.
Thoughts of past and future leave

Me.
Here I am.
And I remember
These songs resuscitate my heart;
Settle my mind.
Mother Earth always knows how to

Speak to my soul.

She knows without hesitation

What to say in the silence.

Back To Love

Standard

I want to hear you whisper my name

With a craving ignited

From unrevealed dimensions

Within.

(A breathless

Quivering voice.)

 Eager.

Crawling on hands and knees.

 Whispering as you plead for water;

Begging to saturate your parched lips.

I want to feel your hands searching for treasures;

Your fingertips wandering with anticipation

Of

New found discoveries

And your lips to trail every last inch of me

In dire need of reciprocation.

I want to feel  you

Shudder

And reach a point of such great intensity,

A

Summit so high,

Your whole body becomes immobilized

Waiting for oxygen.

And I want to be the breath of life

That brings you back to

Love.
