I wonder if solitary trees
Ever get lonely.
I imagine their roots going great
Lengths beneath our feet to
Reach,
To touch
One
Another.
Sensing the need through
Distance and dreams to feel,
To entwine wholly.
I wonder if solitary trees
Ever get lonely.
I imagine their roots going great
Lengths beneath our feet to
Reach,
To touch
One
Another.
Sensing the need through
Distance and dreams to feel,
To entwine wholly.
Deathbed
Hands holding
Old regrets slip away
Heart still holding onto
Last
Breath
I love you
I love you
I would lift you up
As high as i could
My love
But we both know
You will only fall,
Return to it all,
Everything
You are running away from
Here on the ground
If you do not build up strength in your own way,
In your own time.
The might of
Your own wings must come about within
Your soul.
To get there
You have to fly yourself,
But
Not by yourself.
I am learning too.
We all are.
Cold rain falls upon my face
This January day
Bringing with it a chill to give
My skin.
I am shivering now
Yet
My bones burn within.
her mind was quite broken you see.
for so long the road to healing has been most tedious.
she has had to learn to allow herself grace
and tenderness unapologetically
she has had to learn she does not need to justify this to
anyone
for even she was unaware that those wounds were too painful to touch
that even her skin was deeply bruised
with heart and mind
and this takes time
giving herself space to grow new strength
unspoken
and nurturing her own roots
and spirit
which ultimately remain
unbroken
love and tenderness for oneself grow freely when welcomed
and cared for unconditionally
Many hours
Even music cannot fill the darkness.
So in silence I sit,
In silence
I am full.
Many days my heart is too heavy,
My sight barricades itself
I have not the strength to lift
My
Pen and place it to paper
Or my eyes to sunlight.
I sit in darkness.
In darkness I rest.
And I sink
Beyond my knees to earth.
Beyond touch of hand
Or restless thoughts
Where I lie.
For I do not even whisper there,
I do not not even cry.
I want to reach you.
To fall into you
And collapse in fevered cries.
Revel in
The sight of you.
But I will never beg
Your hands
Touch me.
I will never beg your lips meet mine
Or you arms surround me.
Dreams will have to do.
I will not.
I will not.
I will dream.
Many moons
And suns have come and gone
Since you embarked on this journey.
Your feet light with
Anticipation
When you took your first steps
Now have become heavy
With
Impatience and doubt.
Remember your heart.
Remember your heart beating.
Remember the blood coursing through your veins.
Such life. Such beauty.
The moon and sun are still there with you and
They will not give up.
You will not give up.
Remember your heart.
Remember your heart beating,
And open your eyes.
Open them fully.
Breathe many breaths.
Open your eyes.
See.
Truly you know, if you wish,
You can fly.
Truth does not
Require
The many words
We feel we
Must
Assign it.
